Volunteers Needed for a BodyTalk Research Study

Dear fellow California CBPs,

Interested in helping with a BodyTalk research study?

I am working with Janet Galipo to do a BodyTalk research study on chronic pain. We are starting the study this June/July to look at the impact of a series of BodyTalk treatments on chronic pain sufferers and we need VOLUNTEERS. Please distribute this information to anyone you know who has a chronic pain condition and may be interested in participating in the study (the study flyer is attached if you’d like to forward it on to friends, family, email lists). We are about half way through with the recruitment process and would like to recruit the remaining volunteers by the end of JUNE!

Qualified participants will receive 8 BodyTalk treatments and a BodyTalk Access course free of charge. These treatments may provide significant improvement to pain conditions. To qualify you must:

  • Be over age 18

  • Have had persistent moderate to severe pain for the past 6 month (level 6 or higher on a scale of 1 to 10)

  • Have internet access and be comfortable completing on-line health assessments

Please note: we are looking for people that have never had a BodyTalk session prior to the study.

This study will take only a few hours of time over a period of 6-8 months, for interested volunteers. Volunteer study subjects will be required to:

(1) Attend a 2 hour study orientation meeting in either the Miami, FL or San Jose, CA areas OR have a call in orientation meeting with an assistant who will help them sign up for the study and complete all of their paperwork. In other words, the study subjects can be located anywhere!

(2) Complete on-line surveys about overall health, pain intensity, and impact of pain symptoms on their lives.

Thanks for your help in referring interested people for this important first step in BodyTalk Research!! The research results should help all of us in our practices, so if you could take a bit of time to forward the info on to anyone you know who might know someone who could benefit from the study, that would help us out a lot!

Warm regards, Laura Stuve
